honestly i figured they toned it WAY down...So much so it seems totally absent during actually gameplay...But it is what it is (god i hate that saying).

They're definitely in. It's just more subtle than previous years. You don't have to zoom all the way in either. Playing Mich St. @ ND, I noticed my WR had some pretty decent dirt stains on his pants, visible from pretty far out as well.

Yes good to hear, maybe this means a patch can bring out the details more.
