More realistic... 7 minute or 8 minute quarters?

I've read that the average plays per a real college football game is around 135. Which quarter length do you think gives the more realistic amount of plays? I've messed around with both of them... I think 8 minutes is closer, but sometimes I've been well over 135 plays (including all offensive plays, field goals, punts, plays called back on penalties, kick offs, and extra points). Anyone have any insight on this?

I play 7-minute quarters -- but I know my playbook well and call my plays quickly.

Pretty much same.

And, I feel like 8 min. quarters makes the game drag on, idk why.

8 minutes. You don't get near 120-135 plays with 7 min qtrs.

Also, don't factor in punts, kickoffs, penalties, etc. Those shouldn't be factored in when considering the 120-135 plays.

I've switched to 8 minutes. Nice results from it so I'd say "its more realistic."

really? I didn't know for sure... all I did was a google search and found that the average amount of plays was around 135, but I had no idea what it included. I found it kinda hard to find accurate info on the subject.

I play 7 min quarters, I feel like if i played 8 mins the potential for total yards and the score to get crazy high, would raise exponentially.
