but how do i challenge a specific person to an online game? I can't seem to find the option

I believe you go to create a Custom Game, in the online menu, and then it'll give you an option to load up your friends list and invite somebody.

Even worse is accepting a challenge on the PS3. I looked for no kidding 20 minutes before I checked the generic in box on the the PS3 and found the challenge there instead of under the friend who sent it.
