Re: QB Sim Stats: Only AWR Matters

When sorting the QBs by AWR, there are 19 QBs at 83+. Next is Tyrod Taylor at 80. Ironically, now the 2 times I've simmed and recorded seasons, only 20 QBs have had a Comp% over 60%. It has been those 19 QBs with AWR at 83+ and Martez Wilson with his 85 AWR (from linebacking, again, it's a glitch, but further proves the AWR factor).

Here's the 2nd run with more good examples. Steven Sheffield and his 95 THA completes 46%, AJ McCarron and his 90 THA completes 47%, and Austy Carta Samuels and his 86 THA completes 41%.

To prove it's not the WRs, compare Greg McElroy and AJ McCarron. Same team, and McElroy completes 68% while McCarron is at 47%

And once again, 20 QB's over 60%, and 85 under 50%.

I obviously don't list everyone, but the top 20 down to Wilson are all exact.

Incorrect on some sorts. Speed, Acceleration, Agility, Elusiveness, Ball Carrier Vision mean more to players such as Terrelle Pryor, Josh Nesbitt and running QBs than the other stats to perform like they do in real life.

I have Pryor ranked as the 2nd best Junior on my roster set at 88.

Speed- 90
AGI-93
ACC-96
Awareness- 76
THP-90
THA-82
Elusiveness- 95
Ball Carrier Vison- 87

And with his 76 AWR, he'll complete about 48% of his passes in simmed games.

I like the ratings though.

I never said anything about simming, i said for Overalls--But skills do come into play as you said during simming games. As for an Overall rating, making a reasonable QB becomes a challenge when creating a scrambler. A low awr means a low Overall, and so a easier recruit, but that doesn't mean we can win games

Re: QB Sim Stats: Only AWR Matters

I simmed one more year (2011), and it looks like 81 AWR is the key number.

There are 15 players with 81+ AWR, and they are the only players with >60% completions and > 150 QB Rating.

There are a few guys with 79, 80 AWR and the drop off is huge.

My fault, I didn't see the "Sim" part in the Topic Name.

No biggie, thats why i clarified. Someone else might be confused also and take a different meaning. So now they got any idea...

Re: QB Sim Stats: Only AWR Matters

Looks like the roster makers will be busy updating some AWR ratings.

Things like this are bothersome but at least we had someone find the problem. At least it can be corrected.

Thanks, OP.
