Interesting playbook-ism

It's big XII media week. Every year our sports radio guys go down and do interviews.

Today they were interviewing texas techs hope to be starting QB, schefield (or however you spell it).

He stated that he was an xbox guy and that on ncaa 11 that there are "several plays that are identical to what texas tech has in their playbook."

Anyhow, with 120 ways to win I thought this was interesting that the QB hopeful pointed that out.

I certainly thought so. Wonder how many NCAA 11 playbooks can make that claim.

I would like to see a playbook editor one of these days so I can see a play the Jaguars do IRL and put it into my Madden playbook from another team. Or be able to design new plays.

Have they ever let you make a play?

NCAA 2000 I believe. you could make up to 9 plays I think.

It's weird to me that custom plays aren't in these games. I mean, I get that they're paranoid about people figuring out holes in the AI logic and being able to exploit it if they're allowed to draw up their own plays. But, still. Seems like letting people draw up their own plays but not take them in ranked online games (for fear of the inevitable money plays) would be a fine compromise.

I remember, the old days, everybody worshiping at the altar of guys like Grid-Iron Ghost on the old Thinking Man's Guide To Madden site, because they'd cook up effective custom plays people could create and add to their arsenal.

I dont have a problem with no create-a-play because of the reason you talked about, although that is a good solution.

I'd rather have custom playbooks honestly. I dont have a problem with the plays already in the game, it just would be nice to sort them all.
