Any Tips On Being More Successful At Running Playaction Passes?

I'm always under pressure immediately ans I play on heisman. Is there anything that I might be doing incorrectly before I go to adjusting slider settings?

I suggest hot routing a TE to pass block and sliding your pass protection in the other direction. Or, pay close attention to where the blitz appears to be coming from an slide as well. Also, if you have two backs, hot route one to pass block.

This has worked well for me but it's not a fix-all.

How do you hot-route to passblock?

On PS3, if my TE is the triangle... I push triangle to bring up hot routes, push triangle to select the TE, then push R2 to pass block right, or press L2 to pass block left.

Therefore, if the halfback is L1..... triangle, L1, R2 or L2 (depending on which side of the formation he is on.

Read the coverage and make adjustments at the line.

I try and let the play develop. Sometimes PA isn't going to work, I've been rocked a few times right off the snap. Other times I've let the play develop and I've gotten big gains out of the play. If I sense a blitz from one side I'll hot route the TE as mentioned or motion the FB out to block. I'll also shift the line one direction too.

The biggest thing that I've found helpful though is reading the defense and letting the play develop. Don't try and force a pass, if the linebackers bite, you'll be fine with a TE open in the middle hopefully.

Be willing to hand off the ball if the D is going to get you before you can pass the ball. Better to hand the ball off for 2 yards, than get sacked for a loss of 5 right? Chances are you wont be running PA when you need a 1st on that play. Take what the D gives you!
