is the HD Pack for Xbox worth thy buy just for NCAA 2004?

Actually it won't be in HD, but you will get 480p which should look better on your Pioneer set. HD signals are 720p and 1080i. 480p is a digital signal, but not high defenition. That being said, the only way to get 480p out of the Xbox is to have the HD pack...so it is confusing.

480p is better quality than S-Video. I could tell noticeably with my Rocky game and MVP baseball. It may not be high def buts it's an improvement.FORMULA-720p&1080i>480p>S-Video>AV Cables>RF Adapter

Actually it goes like this:

1080p-1080i-720p-480p-Component-S-Video-AV-RF

I left out things like RGBv and scart, but that's a basic formula. 1080i carries more lines of information than 720p.
