Extensive Research on Depth Chart Issue .. Keep Positive & We can Fix it ..

Please look into this EA for NCAA 2013...

Not fixing this is either:

1. piss poor laziness
or
2. this feature is WAD (work as designed)

It would take hardly any time to fix this. Instead of auto reordering placing the highest overall rated players to fill in those position slots, just take the highest overall rated player at that position and put them in those position slots. If there are more slots for that position than are players available at that position, then move to the highest overall rated player.

I've been told this hasn't been fixed.. What a shame, please EA look at this for patch #1. I know they can fix it, not sure why they don't.

God damn, looking back this is pathetic. NCAA 11, it looks like it KINDA got fixed, it's back in 12, then in 13 its still weird. It even effects humans. If you let the CPU set your depth chart, they'll have TEs at WR, which messes everything up because TEs are meant to block sometimes so instead at TE you have a WR in the 2nd string who cant block. What a mess. This can't be WAD.

Yeah I always tune my depth charts up at the beginning of every season and notice that, among other things, there is always only 1 TE listed with spots 2 & 3 open. Even when I have at least 3 on the roster.

The default charts are always such a disaster. I hope they fix the logic on this for '14.

Exactly, I'd love for them to sort it by best at position, not just ovr rating.

Depth Chart always seems to be an issue with the new generation. I don't recall this being an issue with the old generation though. The CPU recruiting is the common denominator in my opinion in creating the issue. The cpu will recruit and sign multiple positions that aren't needed and the other positions that are needed don't get filled. Many of the positions lack depth, that is why you are seeing positions filled by other positions. For example, a team may have 5 or 6 SS, but not enough offensive lineman. I quit playing 2012 and 2013 because they come with too many issues. I am playing 2011 now, which is not great, but the better of the three years.
