Can player lock be turned off?

See subject. I would like to be able to turn this off sometimes. In games where I don't want to use it, I really hate when I turn it on by accident. It happens when I'm manually rushing a linebacker and trying to time the snap count, and I'll end up running the wrong direction for a second and taking myself out of the play.

The answer is no, first of all. But what's interesting about that is that it serves as a penalty for not timing the snap correctly. I hate it too, but I can't blame anyone but myself when it happens.

Click the left stick.

This happens to me sometimes, too. I usually don't use it, but usually when I blitz a safety I'll accidentally click it and get totally screwed timing the snap count. Drives me crazy.

Boo on this. EA needs to make this optional next year. I like the feature but sometimes I emphatically do NOT want to use it, and certainly don't want to turn it on by accident. It's way too easy to click down on that stick when you're moving around at speed.
