so far it's very small, it's on the inner ring, but looks like it'll eventually crack into the readable material which i'm sure will ruin the game.

i'm just biding my time but will eventually be getting a new disc.

my question is with online pass and my OD, is anything i have going to be affected, by switching a disc.

normally i wouldn't be worried about such nonsense, but how they have your whole ID and whatnot tied together for all the online purposes, it just makes me wonder.

so if it is readible now, hurry and copy it to your hard drive

I thought online pass was tied to your profile.

Online pass is tied to your profile not the disc. Besides just install the game to your hard drive. That way it only spin for 10 seconds when your 1st turn on the game to verify you have the game and after that it stops spinning.

No need to spend another $60 for a small crack on a disc.

i already have it installed to my HD, and also have my OD saved to disc.

what's going to end up happening, is snapping it in and out of the case will make the crack very flimsy.

I could be wrong .
I think the Online pass is on each game each store has.
So if you bought the game at best buy and used the online pass then went to Walmart and bought a NEW game that game would have a different code/online pass so in essence you would still be able to play online .
All you would have to do is make sure you are using the new you bought and not the old one you have.

I use a CD case to store my games

the online pass should be tied to your Gamertag so you shouldn't even have to enter it when/if you get a new copy of the game.

Step 1: Install to harddrive immediately.

Step 2: place a THIN layer of tape on the top part of the cd.
(CD wont heat up when running off the HD)

Step 3: Get a slipcase and use that to hold your game.
