I think its cheese if you run it every play but if its your go to running play i dont think its cheese. I think thats your reward to having recruited a good O-Line you should have plays that they block extremely well on

not out of the shotgun. It can be pretty terrible out of shotgun formations.

Re: HB Counter=Cheese?

As much as video football games have progressed over the years, this is one thing that the never get right. The playbooks are always riddled with plays or pass routes that are way too successful. And a fair amount of plays and routes that are pretty much doomed to fail.

It is my #1 wish every year to have balanced plays. I would be happy to take a smaller playbook if it meant every play had a realistic chance for success/failure. If they ever get that right, everything else will fall into place.

Re: HB Counter=Cheese?

I form twins I think, call the counter out of that formation, and flip the run so it's going to the side with no wrs. Huge gains everytime if the D is in man coverage. No CB on that side of the field + defenders getting sucked into the middle + puling lineman = wide open space.

Really any outside run play where all wrs are lined up on one side and you run to the other is overly effective.

Re: HB Counter=Cheese?

EA needs to fix the "setup" of these plays. The current implementation doesn't really work. Counter should be a more successful if you run your base power/stretch plays a few times. You can run counter on first play of the game and it's just as successful as in the 4th quarter when you've racked up 200 yards on power 0

It's not cheese. Play better defense.
