What defensive player do you control and why??

I've always felt the most in control when using the free safety. This way I get to enjoy stopping the run while also getting a fun dose of backpedalling and making plays in the passing game.

I use the free safety probably 80% of the game. The other 20% is used on plays in which I blitz a LB or another secondary player, in which case, I like to control one of the blitzers.

I hardly ever use a d-lineman. Maybe one play every 2 or 3 games probably. And that's usually in a situation where I wasn't quick enough picking the guy I want in the back-7.

There is no greater feeling in this game than sitting back, reading the QB and WR routes, and picking off a pass.

Whenever i play 4-3 im the FS

But 3-4 i usually use either the ROLB or LOLB

SAFETY all day, stuff the run, watch the crossing routes, int's, help out wherever needed. Sometimes MLB can also be sort of a "rover". Anyone playing as D-Lineman sucks at coverage, tackling, hitting, lacks overall stick skills and just wants to abuse the cpu lineman with RS moves.

Its funny because the majority of people that you play online use DT's.

I use the FS to sit on all the crossing routes and put 9 in the box to stop the run.

I use DT or DE usually with not much defensive switching. OTherwise it's way too easy to play defense

I always play as a DT/DE b/c my stick skills are so lame, if I controlled anyone else, I'd get burned for a TD everytime. I just like to pass rush and let the my playcalling determine the rest.

Sometimes I do wiff at safety (usually because I'm going for the big hit)and I get extremely mad at myself!

I player lock with the FS for every game. Like some others have mentioned, I love roaming deep and playing the pass and being able to step up in run support.
