OD Year Five Update

I am the commissioner in a six man online dynasty that has just completed year five. Each human controlled team plays in their own conference, and everyone must play a head-to-head matchup against another human during the regular season. We have a had a different National Champion each year, and have progressed our teams into contenders for the NC every year.

Colorado State
Houston
Purdue
UCLA
Kansas
South Carolina

For Houston and CSU, at the start of every season, regardless of their finish the previous year, they are not ranked in the beginning of the next season and have to win their way up the polls. Both teams finish in the top 10, both have six-star prestige, yet are never a consideration in the pre-season even after winning the NC.

Alabama, regardless of how they finish has been ranked no worse than 2nd in each pre-season poll. They have not won their conference in four years, but five star recruits line up to play for them. They have been the #1 recruiting class in each season we have played.

Only two of the six user controlled teams has had a player that won the Heisman Trophy. Colorado State (X2) and Purdue (X1).

It appears as though the odds are stacked against the smaller schools in "lesser" conferences. It also looks like the traditional powerhouse schools will remain in power regardless of their performance due to the way the game has been programmed by EA.

The Dynasty mode even 20 years down the line still gives preferences to the perennial powers no matter how much they have been beaten. Its very sad and infuriating to see the same "7 star" teams do the same thing in everyones dynasty.
