There are some every year...

They pop up ***** with you as their #1 team. You recruit for 60 minutes every week. You have a big lead then suddenly week 7 you find yourself up 80. You recruit 60 again for 500 points.. Then find yourself down 1?!?!?! To an in-conference rival?? After a win?? Week 8 they sign... with your rival.

THIS SUCKS EA!

Yeah, there's usually one every class or so. On my last season in my offline dynasty on 11, I was leading by around 300-400 for about 6-8 weeks with a big time CB (think he was top 5 in the nation). I, South Carolina, and Florida (CPU) were his 1 and 2. Well, the week before I play Florida the lead's down to about 180 all of the sudden, even though I spent 60 minutes a week recruiting him. Then the week I play at Florida, I'm only 60 or so points in the lead and he is visiting Florida for my game with them. I beat Florida 56-13 in Gainesville to make me 10-0 and Florida 5-5 and he commits to them after the visit. I was just like "WTF".

it happens like that in real life sometimes.

like bama with malcolm mitchell last year.

bama got in on him early, was his heavy favorite for a long, long time. prob 90% of the year. had 2-3 times that he was going to announce to bama, but then decided to just wait.

then finally, a couple weeks before he signed, we started hearing it's not as solid as it once was, but bama was still the leader.

then the day or 2 before he signed, we heard it was a dog fight, and could go either way.

then he signs... with uga.

just goes that way sometimes.

I wouldn't complain about that. It's realistic. Some players just have a certain school in their hearts and if they show interest you're never going to overcome that.

Yep. If UNC ever tried to recruit me, and by recruit, I mean send me one letter and offered me, I'd sign with them over Georgia if Georgia talked and called me every week and even offered stuff they aren't supposed to.

I have been gut punched several times on 11, a few of them really sucked!! Usually that 5 star you have been going after all year. In the end, you gotta take the hit and roll, move on to the next guy. Make it a point to play them the next season and steam roll him!!
