The system just isn't capable of running the highest quality player models at all times, the same goes for almost, if not all sports games.

For example, in the total war series on the PC. The game can display at times thousands of 3D models at a time, but at a distance they actually revert to 2D textures, because at a distance it isn't really necessary to render them as you can't see them in anywhere near full detail. It's just a better way to manage, and work with limited resources.
I'm sorry, bro. I am so tired of the excuses. I can't stand them anymore, and
you probably know that.

Every time EA ****s something up, there's always someone trying to make
excuses for them.

Let's face it; If they had competition, they would not half *** their games.

Now, you're probably thinking that you're making some valid points...

And to be honest, you probably are.

You sound like you're knowledgeable in the subject, and I appreciate your
response. I'm really not mad at you, bro. Just sick of EA's monopoly, and
bull ****.

In the end,

If Fifa can do it, so can NCAA. If the MLB games can do it, so can NCAA.

It's a sorry excuse, man... that's really what it is.

The fact that the Instant Replays only show about 10 yards of amazing
graphics, and then the rest just blurs out, doesn't really support your claims
either.

There is NO EXCUSE for that, man... It's simply incomplete, period.

All these excuses have just persuaded me to avoid this game completely. I
just can't take it anymore.

You play a game like APF2K8 (gameplay was not that great by the way), but
the atmosphere was right....

The very first game 2K puts out... the atmosphere is right...

No excuses...

No bull ****.

Just a solid atmosphere.

Granted, the graphics weren't the best, but because the atmosphere was
right, this game felt more real (atmosphere wise) than NCAA and Madden will
ever feel.

You break a 80 yard run in 2K8, and your sideline would go wild. The crowd
would go wild, jumping up and down.

Why can't EA just get it right?

We've had the same sidelines for the past 10 years...

Last year was the first year in 10 years that I didn't buy Madden.

I bought NCAA 11 because it was the best college football game I have ever played.

This is the first year in 10 years that I will pass up on both NCAA and Madden...

Did EA even make a basketball game to compete with NBA 2K11?

Lol... If they did, I sure as hell didn't hear about it...

I wonder why...?

Lol I actually just convinced myself to purchase 2K8.....

Strictly Presentation and atmosphere, I will make no excuses for EA. The commentary is horrid, the sideline is dead, and the crowd as well(supposed to be better this year at least).

I'm not really talking about anything except why the graphics in replays look better. It's just how many games operate, even the 2k example, the on field graphics are definitely inferior to the replay and close up graphics, that's just how it's done. It's a technique to maximize quality when it's need most, i.e close ups. The consoles don't have enough power to go all out all the time. It's been used this gen, last gen, and will be used next gen, it's just how it is. There's no real point in debating it, I'm not some EA/Tiburon apologist, the only way to make the gameplay graphics and Replay graphics equal, would be to nerf replay graphics so they match.

Coming from you, I can respect that. Thank you for your input, bro.

You're paying more for shipping than the actual games lol. This is off topic, but you can get both at gamestops site for 4 bucks and free standard shipping(with a promo code)

Haha. Damn. I am usually pretty good at getting deals. I looked on Ebay, and
generally from there, Amazon has the best deals. Oh well... Lol.

But good for other people here to know...

Anyone want to get the games and take me on on Xbox Live?

I remember 2K5... The cool house that you got to live in and buy stuff for. That
was awesome.
