Agreed 100%. I was planning on changing classes for those who qualify for medical redshirts. Nothing was frustrating as having my star QB go down for the year in the first game and not being able to have him back.

Agreed. While it is a disappointment that we can not edit height/weight. It's not a big deal for me. I care more for the first 4 years of my dynasty with the real players and editing them as the game seasons go on.


If we can change positions of recruits then that can fix the issue of height/weight issues.



Example

FSU signs a QB at 6'5 230. Just as the you go to begin the season switch him to DE.

Or if a DE is HIGH on your list but he is 6'5 195. Just go to a lower rated prospect- 1 or 2 star that his 6'5 245-270 and recruit him to your team. Go look that TOP Player you didnt sign and try to resemble those ratings.


While it can be an issue for some and I wish it was installed in the patch I'm still happy with what we received. And things can be fixed.

what was the point of this and the "hype" then.. people no longer want 6 foot 195lb DE's and still get them unless they plan on editing all of them and changing positions

Wouldn't it be possible for them to have a specific weight range for positions, then randomize recruits based on that range?


RB's 185-230lb
OL 270-330lbs
DE's 240-270lbs
DT's 270-350lbs
LB's 220-250lbs
DB/S 170-220lbs

If you don't want small DE's, don't recruit them.

Just what I was thinking when reading this. One good thing about position editing you could take a DT change his attributes to more of a DE's problem solved.

This seems to be lost of some of the posters here, but I strongly suspect that the Dynasty save file only allows for 5 years of statistics per player. Note that when a player graduates, he is completely removed from the save -- you can't access his stats anymore. If I'm right, then you won't see the ability to edit classes in any patch this year, unless they can somehow change the dynasty save format, and that seems unlikely.

I'm guessing stats also have something to do with the inability to change positions. Perhaps they developers think that changing positions could cause weird things to happen. I think this is a somewhat weak argument, though.

Height and weight, though, I'm betting that'll be added in the next patch. Probably just an oversight when the feature was added.
