Whats the point of having LS on the d chart?

This question could pretty much be applied to every ncaa/madden game in the last few years...

They have the "LS" spot on the depth chart...Now i'm not football expert, by any means but I'm assuming it stands for long snapper...Has anyone actually noticed a difference with using a lower rated ls versus a higher rated... I would think that if their rating is low they would sometimes snap the ball over the punters head, have bad fg snaps, etc... But I've never seen it..

So the LS position purely cosmetic or has anyone actually see it have an impact on a game?

never in my years of playing ncaa football have i seen a bad snap on a punt or field goal. it makes no sense. bad snaps happen quite a big in college and thats how teams get blocks. if ea sports made a long snap rating or something, then that would give the special teams a chance to block a punt/field goal every once in a while...

There's always next year? Bad snaps and an overhauled penalty system would be quality features for realism's sake.

There aren't any bad snaps (and there should be... but only if there is a slider to adjust the frequency), but I'm still glad LS is on there. I wish there was a whole ST depth chart. Plus, maybe you want a longsnapper who can tackle or something? Options are always good.

I usually put in a TE in as my long snapper they are faster and better tacklers on special teams. Thats pretty much it since there are no bad snaps.

wasn't there a big deal made last year about Viking's LS not being in Madden? This is probably why LS is listed now. I could be wrong though, this is my first year playing NCAA Football so I don't know if they've had LS previously.

Quick Link for reference to what I am talking about:

I guess I never thought about doing that...but it still makes no sense to me them putting the LS option there, but not having it be a factor in the game...

If you play with a lower ranked team, you will notice a difference especially on Heisman. On this years I started as IU. We aren't good at all, and for the hell of it in my first week I played at LSU. My snaps were high and low. IMO it makes a difference
