Re: Clock too slow?

Hmmmm.

Wonder if this has anything to do with games taking longer than last year. At least to me it seems like the games are taking longer to play.

This is silly.
No it's not... you have your gameplan set to balanced. That's what happens. Put it on conservative and more time will come off later. Put it on aggressive and you won't lose as much. I really wish people would actually test things before they run around rattling off things they think are correct.

Playing last night I noticed that the clock slowed down on all plays, not just when I made a first down.

I even timed it. 25 NCAA 12 seconds = 38 real seconds
So a 9 or 10min game ncaa 12 = a real 15 min game

THis one is annoying, I lost a game because of this. I'm playing as Yale against Cornell with the score tied 20 with 10 seconds running down and Cornell out of time outs. They ran a quick no huddle ran for 15 yards and got brought down at the 6 yards line with one second. I was getting ready for overtime while the clock magically stopped for them to score the game winning FG. I nearly broke my TV.

"Come off later - " Later when, exactly?
"Won't lose as much - " As much time? When?

So if I have a conservative gameplan, the game assumes I want to run off more time.

If I have an aggressive game plan, the game assumes I'm trying to get in and out of the huddle as quickly as possible.

So wouldn't that mean that a balanced game plan would mean that the clock would work in real time, i.e. 1 second = 1 second?

Normal, I think. Whatever default is. I haven't changed it.

I completely agree with this. They are indeed taking longer.
