Bottom line - passing game just isn't fun

You know, while I think the LB's jumping ability is a bit much, I think the bigger issue is the ball trajectory. EA's ball physics aren't all that great in general, but the ball trajectory in their football games are just too flat. Its really difficult to get a little air under the ball without it hanging up there. It seems that every throw is a dart, no matter what.

You have to have a completely open passing lane in order to complete a pass. It kind of reminds me of the the 10-yard Fight passing a little bit. Its a bit of an exaggeration, but still kind of similar in that regard.

Here are my problems with the passing game:

Passing Trajectory (Super LBs are a result of this)

The lack of touch

The CPU reacting to the button press not the ball being thrown

The CPU making a play on a ball when there back is turned when the pass is made

The inability to throw to a spot

The inability to throw early due to DB reacting better than WR

The new DB push off motion which puts them in better position than the WR

The lack of pass blocking (Isn't the avg in COLLEGE 4 seconds against a 4 man rush)

The total lack of OL awareness

WR letting balls hit them in the face or it being right in front of them and not making a catch attempt

The inability to strafe or jump catch when controlling a WR

The amount of dropped passes

No PI calls

I hope to God they don't nerf the passing game this year.. I mean otherwise you get this.. check out the 4th quarter score. I and my son had a gentleman's agreement to not run deep passes or verticals until the 4th quarter

This is what I don't want.. please don't change it. I like having games online that end 14-7 etc.

there are some things you can fix (like WR's getting bonked in the head with the ball).. but don't take the challenge out of it

That's why there are levels and sliders. But the CPU pass D should not be playing like Heisman on Varsity. Just shouldn't.
