Icon5 Where Are The Diving Catches???

Since I bought NCAA 12, I have yet to see a dive catch animation play out. There have been plenty situations I've seen where overthrown balls where within my receiver's reach if he jumped for it. Yet is fall incomplete in front of him. Did EA patch them out on purpose because of a exploit, or is it something that just happen after the first day patch?

Re: Where Are The Diving Catches???

I changed my user settings back to default and put the game on Varsity & super slow...and I FINALLY started seeing some catch animations! I played two games before I find out about the roster bug(a game killer for me) and put the game up until its fixed...but in those games I saw the dive, the spin around and a couple of sliding catches.

Played 50+ games before this with slider edits and never saw a single one. I am sure its not the sliders but with everything else so wonky in this game, who knows.

On Varsity.....you see way more diving catches and bull rush animations......On All American and Heisman........very rarely will see it.

Yeah, I started with All-American with default settings. Then, I went to Heisman with Matt10's Zero Based Sliders Set, so that may be the problem there.

Re: Where Are The Diving Catches???

Good question. I've played about 10 games on heisman with modified matt10 sliders and I've seen one CPU diving catch, zero human diving catches. It's a little disappointing cuz the pre-release hype showed some pretty sweet animations. Maybe it can be fixed with a patch?

Seen some by the CPU. I've made some cool jumping user catches by out jumping CPU defenders. According to some, that's cheese though
