Why do comeback routes keep turning into streaks?

I'm waiting for my wr to stop and he never does

Doesn't happen all the time, but it's annoying when it does

I would only have that issue if I pass the ball to early. You gotta release the ball as the rec makes his cut. Hope this helps.

Yep, you're throwing it too early, this all goes back to EA having it so that the QB throws to a person instead of a spot on the field..

Actually, he's not. I've run into this at least 10 times in 3 seasons. I like it though because everytime it happens, my reciever is open. Maybe it was added on purpose to make "cheating"(smh) db's look as though they jumped the wrong route.

that's what I was thinking. I knew I wasn't crazy. 1 time it happened and my WR was wide open. But it happened again and I got sacked because I was waiting for him to comeback and he never did. The DB didn't bite and was still on top of him.

Yeah it happened in one of my game's today except i wasnt really paying attention to the route due to the blitz and thought the receiver would stop instead he keeps going and DB picks it and takes it to the house.

so youre throwing the ball well after the receiver was supposed to make his break? the only instances ive seen of this is where i have to throw it early or the receiver beats the db badly so i just lead him to the inside or up the field so the route is cut off.

well one of them was suppose to be a short route, like 5-8 yards. I was waiting, and then it looked like he just took off. It happened a few times. The first time I figured I did what some of you suggested, I threw too soon. But then it happened a few other times and I figured it was just the game.
