I've had players rated as low as 68 try to jump to the pros. It happened in my Tulane dynasty where I run a one-back system. My third year I got a 2-star Power back with 90 BTK, 93 TRK, and 78 AWR but lousy stats everywhere else - he ended up redshirting his freshman year and put up some big numbers during his two seasons, one of which I went 12-1 (in C-USA post Case Keenum).
Then he decided to go pro and no matter what I did, I couldn't convince him to come back. It was very frustrating.
