Punt Returns

Maybe pick an extra blocker and take him back to block before the ball is snapped? I like using punt block zone too. Seems like you get more help on the return.

Regarding the clipping calls, I think those who see it occur often on returns do so because they change direction often. I have noticed that if I reverse my field on a return it drastically increases the chances of a clipping penalty being called. Which is realistic and I like it.

My return guy is averaging ~16 ypr (though I have yet to take one the distance)

I just don't like the fact I can never break 1 for big yardage.....I also notice I HAVE to use Punt Block formation A LOT

If you are not having success with that, you could try punt block return where your team lines up like they are going after the kick (forcing the offense to audible to max protect) but they fall back to set up the return.

I only return them with a 95+ spd guy back there and it vitale to get those first guys blocked and you must read the block. Then once you get by those initial guys you can hit a sideline and be to the house. I also pick return middle for the most success. Punt block they usually kick it so high everybody gets down there too fast, where actually with a punt block defense you are hoping for a line drive kick which would give a great chance to break it but not on the game. Overall I think punt returns are pretty realistic also.

I find it easier to return punts when Im not using the turbo button until I'm in open field.

Every time I use turbo (whether I'm running or returning) the defenders ALWAYS disengage their blocks, which makes it impossible to get away from.
