Exactly, a couple of flashy punt returns and a cool nickname don't make a guy a great CB. Both players are overrated IMO. Rhodes was/is better than Reid and Claiborne was better than Honey Badger.

You're right. All the forced fumbles, fumble recoveries sacks, tackles, interceptions, and broken up passes, on top of the punt returns and nickname, make Mathieu a great corner. Also, is Rhodes is the end all, be all of cornerbacks in college, he's going to get his Bednarik Award this year? Or for that matter, his Thorpe Award?

By all means, if you want my predictions, I can PM you. But other than that, I never said I knew who was going to win. I just know who already won, and Rhodes wasn't on the list.

Reid is a safety, he simply uses closing speed to make all his plays.
Claiborne is a "true" defensive back, with coverage skills.
Mathieu is a "hybrid", he can cover decently, but he is most effect covering the flats and making defensive plays in the open field as well as the back field.
