Word floating around headquarters is that we very well may be seeing the end to the NCAA football series.

Current sales projections and targetted pre-order sales are not being met and have not met forecast for the past few years and are actually declining even though the market share of systems in peoples homes are increasing. At this point, there are discussions in place to see just how much longer to continue making the NCAA series.

First we lost basketball, and now we are in danger of losing football as well. Very limited peeps here know who I am and know I have the inside track to information coming out of the studio, but Im not about to get my sources compromised. I havent been wrong yet.

Biggest problem I have is that certain people that have control over this situation seem to believe its just a lack of interest in the sport, and not a quality issue thats killing this title. Recent movement indicates that they may actually be planning on not releasing a college game after their contract ends, and in fact may not be actively planning on making the move to the new systems when released.

We very well may be looking at the last few years of gridiron college pigskin in a while.

EA shouldve never announced RTP before ncaa came out. If these are the last years of NCAA (which i hope not) hopefully it will go out with a bang. I dont think it will stop being produced though

Hopefully it goes away. As a whole I can't stand college football - though I do watch the local school games. The whole system is flawed, and if this money can go towards making EAs other games better I am all for the decision to ax NCAA. Only if the money goes into other games development.

Not much fun in watching a league with such a wide talent disparity, aside from trying to dissect their game film to see if their skills translate to the big leagues.

It will be an interesting saga to watch here, that's for sure.

There are a lot of you that won't be buying the game because of many simple reasons that I just cannot believe. I look forward to this game every year, and if it goes then I will be upset.
