I would say no. You recruited an ATH so how would he know what position you plan on using him at?

No, because you're merely changing his position after recruitment. You wouldn't be breaking a promise to a DE if you took a junior DT and moved him to DE in the offseason.

Also when recruiting athletes you should be able to go ahead and assign them a position in season as part of contracts is filling needs in season.

I always wondered, if say you promise a HB recruit early playing time, but only use him as your punt and kick returner, if that counts?
