Re: Where's the emotion?

Why don't we nail solid gameplay first.

Perfect the ability for the offense to hit their blocks.

Perfect the use of the option.

Let user catch work.

So many things they could work on in this game.

I understand people want emotion (which is fine and nice) but every time EA tries to add something instead of perfecting the game play, the game suffers. We have that mess that is the Studio Update, the neverending "ESPN" seizure inducing replays.

Let's perfect game play and move on to emotion when they get that right.

I personally don't think game play is a big issue. I'm enjoying the game play a lot actually, besides some minor things.

Ever hear of licensing issues, contracts, etc.? Might be a big reason some things aren't done, instead of the usual "EA hates us!". They are a business, they makes those signings, not the devs.

Re: Where's the emotion?

I can understand this issue but in my opinion there are more important concerns. One thing that is difficult for a game like this to capture is genuine emotion.

Emotion is captured not by a single act, but through a combination. The problem lies at the core of how character models move in game. It is far too robotic. The lack of fluidity in the player movement mechanics is a major problem.

As far as commentary goes, it is a tad bit stale, and I am not sure as to why. It just seems very strange to me that it they cannot seem to capture authentic emotion. The only explanation I can think of is that Kirk and Brad are very poor voice actors and cannot generate genuine excitement at will.

Another issue is the crowd noise. Its very static. The game does not amplify and I think there may not be enough difference between the low point and the high point.

All in all, this falls into something that has pointed out time and time again, which is EA Tiburon seems to lack purpose and direction with the NCAA series.

Madden 12's commentary trumps NCAA 13's

Also a pre-game show and half-time show like there was in NFL 2K5 would be amazing
