Dropped passes?

I've been playing dynasty for a bit, and I just finished a game that drove me up a wall with dropped passes.

Is there a way to prevent your WRs from so many passes or does it just seem to happen a lot?

I was playing with Arkansas State, and I forgot to check my WRs catching rating, but I know my top three are 83, 79, and 77 overalls. I assume their catching isn't that bad.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Dropped passes?

Yeah dropped catches are a bit of a nuisance. I tried using UTSA last night and my QB at one stage was 2/10. Every incompletion was a drop. Wide open receivers just dropping the ball.

In my dynasty with WVU they seem to drop the ball at the worst times. 3rd and long wide open and he drops it. They don't drop it 1st or 2nd down just 3rd and 4th down haha.

It happens a lot to me on Heisman but it seems to occur when I smash my trigger trying to run further as the receiver catches the ball, it seems to not occur as much when I let the computer run for about half a second then take over

Re: Dropped passes?

In your game plan set your catching to conservative and it helps with the drops. From what I have seen WRs aren't super reliable unless their catch is 85 or higher and their catch in traffic is important if there are defenders near them.

Re: Dropped passes?

It happens a lot in the game, and it happens a lot in real life, too.

The most dropped passes I've had in a game was seven... That's high, but it happens all of the time with teams in real life.

Max the catch slider out I guess?

Happens to me also but I have my catch slider set at 35 so I was expecting it. Just bumped my catch slider up to 40 and its much better now.

Re: Dropped passes?

I noticed I have a lot of drops when I start to make a move before catch is secured. Just like in real life I guess not looking the catch in before turning to run.

I think its pretty fairly balanced.... but thats just my 2c
