Help with Passing

I am really struggling this year with the new passing. I don't understand how it works exactly as to what I need to push and what each direction does and so forth. In years past, I would be able to lead my receivers by pushing the left analog stick ahead of the receiver, what is different this year with it? I am playing on PS3.

Thank you.

Re: Help with Passing

Up on the right analog stick is still used to lead the receiver, down is to make them come back some for the ball, left and right are basically for sideline passes.

Re: Help with Passing

The benefit is more control.

By holding up on the stick while passing, you can now lead a receiver upfield more. If a player is crossing the field with a player on his hip, you can now put it over his shoulder where the defender cant get to it. Before, you could only bullet it through on a line.

You have to practice, but getting a feel of it makes it a lot more intriguing to pass.

Since you are always moving up in the game the RS basically dictates where you are throwing the ball in relation to where the receiver is. It isn't simply 4 directions now, but multiple directions (like for corner routes). It's as simple as that.
