What exactly are the criteria to fulfill this promise?

You just have to play in footall games that are broadcast nationally, so it's really easy to do if you are in a big name conference. It's a bad thing to promise if you're playing at say, Texas State.

I honestly don't know how many. There was a blog about recruiting promises a little while back on here, but I don't think it mentioned the specific number of times you needed to be on national TV
