Please Help

I apologise for this post being in the wrong thread. I looked at the forum home page and found no link fit this question so I came to my NCAA brothers.....

My PS 2 give me read disc errors quite often now. I live in Kenya, East Africa so sending it to the States just is not a solution. Do any of you know of a "home remedy" for this problem?

Here is a little back ground info: The PS2 stopped working for DVD's then stopped working for blue discs and not the DVD games but has always worked well for NCAA. Not now. It will not even play NCAA. Please help....

It's toast, hopefully you have a warranty.

you can fix it yourself, you just have to adjust the little white dial inside that alters the angle at which the disc is spun. Adjusting this fixes 90% of disc read errors or so i hear. I had the same problem and found really good instructions on how to fix it on some ps2 board, (it might have been the forums for ps2's website). Try searching ps2 troubleshooting on yahoo and you will probably find the instructions for doing it. I thought mine was toast because it could only read one disc at one point but this fixed it.
