this isn't just cause i'm a bama fan, but au's offense has been bad a lot more than 1 year.

of the last 6 seasons, only 2 times have they been in the top half of cfb in total o and scoring o. 09 (17th, 16th) and 10 (cam, 7th in both).

3 years they've had 100+ rankings in total o (08, 11, 12) and a 4th year were 97th (07).

2 years they had scoring rankings 100+ (08, 12) and the other 2 were bottom half (07-84th, 11-70th).

they'll likely be better than last year (can't be worse), but a b+ is generous imo.

but i'm also one who thinks most teams are overrated anyway. too many highly ranked teams/players.

as for bama:

what they will be ranked:
off - A/A+
def - A-/A
sp tm - B/B+
Overall - A/A+ (likely highest rated overall team)

what they should be ranked:
off - A-/A
def - B+/A-
sp tm - B-/B
overall - A-/A (top 5-10 team, maybe the best)

i wish the ratings were an average of the starters ratings or two deep. having one starter over 95 and your team having a 95 offensive rating doesnt really make sense.

4th best sec offense (uga, bama, a&m)
2nd best sec defense (bama)

those are fair, at the same time anything lower and i'd feel like sc got screwed.
