Dynasty upsets still crazy?

This hasn't been my experience. I have one dynasty where I just sim the games rather than play. In the first five years, there were 2 undefeated national champions, 2 with 1 loss, and 1 with 2 losses.

nailed it. it's on average 7 non-divIa (FCS) wins vs dIa (FBS) teams each year.

fbs is 900-93-0 (.906) vs fcs teams since 2000 (including 2000).

fcs have had as many as 16 wins in a single season (2000) and as few as 2 (2005 and 2008), but most end up around 6-8.

however, during that same time period, fcs has only 9 wins vs fbs teams .500 and >.

so they do get wins, but vast majority are vs pretty bad teams in their own right.

this is why i strongly urge the roster teams here to edit ratings, however most of the roster makers here just name the players and edit depth charts and equipment.

I've had a pretty decent experience. All the games that should be close are usually close, and all of the ones that should be blowouts are usually blowouts, with an occasional upset happening (in Week 5 at the moment).
Although it does seem that the CPU still hates Oregon, having them lose to UVA in Week 2, and I believe they've lost another since then. They always seem to be crapped on in NCAA Dynasty modes, lol.
Either way, this is better, as of now, than the ridiculous amount of upsets I saw in NCAA 13.

These upsets that are being mentioned are in year one?

The rankings of the teams in the game aren't based on the stock rosters that ship with the game. If you look through the ratings you'll probably see plenty of teams that are mis-rated. I'm a fan of the Hawkeyes, but EA really overrated Iowa's base roster in my opinion -- which could lead to a big win over Northern Illinois.

The question then, if you look at pure ratings (not Top 25 rankings) are these "upsets" really that significant?

Also, as a dynasty gets several seasons deep and the Top 25 is more based on the performance in the game, are we still seeing too many upsets?
