NCAA14 Player Progression

Have simulated a few seasons, and I was really thinking it would be good...because I feel the base roster is one of the better ones I have seen over the years.

(3 different starting seasons simmed... results are an average of those 3)

Total # of players with a Overall Rating of.....
Rating- # on Base Roster / # on Year 2 Roster (avg)

99- 1 / 9
98- 0 / 3
97- 5 / 5
96- 5 / 9
95- 4 / 18
94- 7 / 28
93- 17 / 32
92- 24 / 37
91- 34 / 54
90- 57 / 88

Progression does not follow the example of the Starting Base Roster Build.

(Season 3 was a little worse, only simmed to it once)

Idk how to feel about 9 99 overall players in year 2

Just overall in general, the number expands in all 90+ ratings...

My only real suggestion is for the Roster Makers to adjust up the Base Roster, so it will match the upcoming seasons the game will create for a Dynasty (and for Draft Class imports...Year 1 will be very weak compared to later classes)

Or else you would have to down edit numerous players every year to get it to resemble the base rosters.

It'll be interesting to see how things look down the line when all of the real players are gone. If anyone has the time to do this it would be appreciated.

I went up to season 6.

Each year the number of 99s went up but once the current roster left the number of 99s left dropped. Year 4 when the freshmen in the game now were seniors I had 23 99s. But year 5 and 6 with all new recruits there are 3 in year 5 then 4 in year 6.

The big difference is the number of total 90+ players. I had over 400 total players rated 90+

They were spread out among the teams. No one had a ton. Michigan one the title in year 5 and had 14 players in the 90s. Other top teams like Bama/LSU had about 10. Bad teams did not have any other than may the odd 1 here or there.

So it seems that after the base roster graduates out it kind of evens itself out.

Well not really.... The base starting roster has about 170 players rated 90+, he said 6 years in... he has a total of 400 players rated 90 or above.

So the Base roster is weak in comparison to what will come in all future seasons.

And if the roster editors work on basically "increasing" Seniors that could be rated in the 90+ rated range.... the Base roster can then be increased in it's total number of 90+ rated players, to better equal what will be seen in future Dynasty seasons (without changing the future rosters by using Seniors as the increased players on the base roster)

2 thoughts:

1.) If it's just increased awareness across the board, that shouldn't change gameplay all that much nor sims. If it's actual attributes, that could become annoying

2.) Is this something that could be patched post release?
