Is it better to wait and use lock pick towards the end so your team has a better chance of staying close or use it right when you get locked out?

I'd say it depends on the math. If you can use the unlock and gain ground with bonus and points then sure use it. If you still have a visit remaining even better cuz you can make another big leap. If you use it near the end, it won't mean much unless you plan to allocate a bunch of points in the off- season recruiting so make sure to consider that to.

In the column that says CHANGE, if this shows the red arrow pointing down with say -250, does it mean that you lost ground on the recruit to the tune of 250 points?

That's what I have been thinking it means. I could be wrong.

A red down arrow would mean that you dropped a spot or two on the recruit's board. The -250 is the number of points you dropped behind the leader. If you we're in the lead and lost it, you would need to add the amount of the new leader's lead to figure out how many points you lost.

If you're being out recruited for a recruit by 100 points, but he still has you in his top 3. Do you knowingly cut him because you can't put enough points into him to out recruit another school? Or is it possible to steal him on a visit?
