I myself understand your defensive struggles, but have you ever thought that you maybe just aren't that savvy defensively? If you took a video explaining the specific defensive flaws it would be a lot easier to comprehend.

are you complaining because you are getting beat? i'm just trying to follow.

i couldn't stop anything the first few times i played the game. made slider adjustments. last night i completely shut Nebraska down in a game i lost 7-14 due to turning the ball over 3 times. i shut them down to the point where i'm putting my sliders back to default, and am going to learn to shut them down again.

if you think '13 plays better than '14, just wow.

Lol, they have settings for you to set the DE to always attack the QB on an option play. Also controlling the DE is not the best way to slow down the option IMO. You are playing right into the option because they are reading the DE. I usually send corner heat which the QB is not reading and never even sees coming.

The game is definitely not broken. I think it is one of the more stable and decent releases on day one. Yes, I think there are some gameplay design decisions that are poor, and legacy bugs that piss me off year after year, but hopefully the former can be tightened up through constructive feedback from the community.

So, to the guys saying the game and defense as a whole are broken, lets check out what I just did to Alabama in the national championship game as USC..

This is on default AA with NO slider adjustments, since the game is apparently "broken" out of the box.

Total Yards: 152
Rush yards: 15
First downs: 8

Their QB went 10-20 137 yards and an INT

They went 2-8 on third down and their only touchdown was a kickoff return for a score.

Just because you or your team isn't good on defense, doesn't mean the game is broken.
