i know you already picked tech but just to clarify, they run the triple option, not the read option. although every option technically is a "read", the read option is the shotgun, spread formation option attack. GT runs most of their plays under center in wishbone and flexbone type formations.

Re: NCAA 14 Best schools for an Option QB.

I wanted to do a RTG Option QB, but the playcalling was horrendous. I chose to go GaTech because they are strictly option. But I think maybe 3 out of 10 plays was option. I can't tell you how many times deep passes were called during my first few games. I think I had more pass attempts my first game then run attempts, which should never happen for GaTech. It frustrated me enough to quit that RTG.

I chose GaTech because I strictly wanted to run the option, but it didn't work out.

Actually the formation doesn't matter, they're all Read option offenses. The only difference is one is under center and usually referred to as "Triple Option offense" and the ones from Shotgun are usually referred to as "Spread Option" - But, no matter they're all read option with the same read keys and principles on whether the to handoff, keep, or pitch..

About the biggest difference between what Florida ran, Oregon runs and what GT runs is that they are in the shotgun and GT is under center - And thus their "abacks" are usually spread out wide in a slot receive position while Georgia Tech keeps their "abacks" close in to the formation.
