they don't lie - i just finished 1st year w/ Michigan. Beat Ohio State in final game (44-14) & finished the year #1.. but do i get into the championship game??? NNNOOOOOOOOO.. i have to play the #13 team in the rose bowl... so very true to life.. (all the Sports Ill. covers say that i got snubbed).. so i know how it feels to be a USC fan ..

i had beaten the #1 team in the final game - Ohio State (in Big Ten play).. so i went to the bowl game #1- beat #13 27-17.. then to find out i finshed #2 !!! Miami finished #1, who i was ranked ahead of..

yes - i was shown to be #1 in both polls.. i thought this was odd.. maybe it had to do w/ the fact w/ the final scores in the bowl games (i had won by a slight margin where Miami ran up 60 on their opponent).

going into the bowl game i was ranked #1 - after my game, played the same "week" as the Miami game, i was pushed to #2 .. i thought that all i had to do was win my game outright to win the championship..
