So ... ya. Something has changed. EA must have done a tuner update that was auto installed. In the last 3 games I played for the 1st time in a half day I'm seeing:

1) Injuries in game
2) Rushing for me has gone from an average of 2.5 up to 4.0 to .3 to .9
3) Offensive linemen for CPU's standing there preventing them from running a play resulting in a delay of game.

2 and 3 might be fluke

1 I did see my opponents starting SS go down for 2 qtr last night. Although idk if it was from a defensive play or during a kick return where he was the returner

I just dk if they can auto install tunes, or anything for that matter

Ate you sting an online dynasty? I do remember one year in madden that online franchise seemed to have an update while offline did not until a patch was released. If not its probably just a fluke.

when did all this start creeping up on you? i'm no expert, and i don't know how it works by any means, but it definitely seems that when you fire the game up you're playing on the EA server.

seems completely logical to me that they could tinker however they please, and leave it unsaid.

i know last year i was certain they did something behind the set, i don't know if they did, and then again wednesday night i played my bowl game, and it seemed like a different experience all together. not sure if that's just the nature of the game, my imagination, or what.

anyhow, '14, they are hitting the nail on the head with this one.

Interesting....i was online playing and noticed injuries are occurring more often.

As mentioned this could easily be the case if you're playing online modes. Patches for those aren't like the title updates - they can be applied without downloading an update to your system. This was made very clear by last year's Madden, which ended up having dramatically different playcalling AI between online and offline play (for the better on online).
