Hate to break it to you. But if EA does pay for play, you can pretty much bet your butt it will be for both the Xbox and PS2.

then again i am 15 making 6$ an hour while you older guys probably have more money to shell out, but it still sounds crazy

Well your right it's a little weird and perhaps wasteful but then I'm sure alot of people on here buy games for $50 they play for a week and never play again. If I do buy on both systems I will play on both all year so in taht regards it's not wasteful at all.
