Not every team in Madden or NCAA should have ROLB and LOLB positions and instead should have strongside and weakside that would flip depending on the formation.

Well one thing u can do is audible at the line to flip your ROLB or LOLB which ever one you deem stronger. THis also helps to do with the SAfety cause it puts the SS on the strong side. I know it is hard to remember, but it is an option that is available. FLip the D formation.

Re: One thing EA needs to do is have strongside and weakside linebackers

actually i'm pretty sure thats not what he means. in real football the vast majority of teams have a strongside and weakside linebackers. in the base defense the strongside backer always lines up over the tightend and the weakside backer lines up on the other side. flipping the play in ncaa only switches each linebackers responsibilities it doesn't line them up properly.

they really do need to fix that. doesn't sound too difficult either. and its a huge part of making personel decisions in the linebacker crew. bring it to their attention and i bet the fix it next year...

I think you are able to switch the outside linebackers instead of switching the whole defensive play.

The only guy that will actually switch sides on defense if you flip the play at the line is a nickel corner. I might be wrong but i think thats right.

Even if they named the linebacker positions weak and strong instead of right and left im sure they still wouldnt switch positions if you flipped the play just like the strong safety doesnt move to the strong side if you flip it.

field and boundary corners and split end and flanker distinctions would be good too

If my memory serves me right...didn't NCAA '99 have that? I don't know why they changed it.
