well, it was no different then V-tech with Vick going to thr NC game. No disrespect to V-tech, but they were not on most fans radar until they played FSU in the NC game. Now many like to consider them a national power.

I am a VERY PROUD graduate of Texas A&M, and use we got our butts handed to us by OU last year....but we also spoiled your run at a national championship the year before that...remember that loss at Kyle??? Not to mention almost ending your National Championship season two years before that.
And I feel I can make this claim because A&M plays in a real conference, not to mention one of the toughest divisions in football (Big XII South).
But when the Aggies dominated the SWC in the 1980s and 90s, we took it with a grain of salt because it was not the toughest conference in the nation...but 20 times tougher than the SunBelt.
At least we had Texas, the run and shoot Houston team and Arkansas (before they left for the SEC).
And yes we lost many a Cotton Bowl, but at least it was to real teams like Fla State, Notre Dame, Ohio State etc.... but we also beat a few teams there (Bo Jackson's Aubrn Tigers, Tim Brown's fighting Irish)
And UNT....2-4 outside of the conference...beat Baylor (even A&M beat Baylor 73-10 last year) and Troy State

Yes I remember the loss at Kyle Field and I remember Torrance Marshall's pick 6 to keep our NC run alive. Calm down man I was being a smart a$$.

No problem BigRed, I have no problem taking a beating in the Big XII because it is always to great teams (except our annual brain fart v. Tech). And also with our lack of success v. Texas the last few years (Damn, when I was in college we went 4-0 against them) I do appreciate the annual a$$-whipping you give those guys. I don't mind losing to Texas, but I couldn't stand them taking home that National Championship.

And one other point to Fresno State and UNT having Top 10 recruiting classes after a simulated season....according to Rivals.com ranking last year's classes

Thought Adrian Peterson was the top rb recruit in TX? Matter of fact im pretty sure of it.

He not only was the top RB in Texas but he was also the #1 player in Texas and #1 player in the country.
