Re: A couple of All-Time Historic Team rosters

No problem. I have counted 34 All-Time teams from the different schools. I've got 18 of them completed:
Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, USC

Having said that, here are the ones that I still need:
Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Texas A&M, UCLA, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Washington

I've got several players on many of those teams, just not the majority of them. I'm still working on them though.

Shouldn't James Street be a QB for Texas? He did lead them to a national championship.
Can someone do the All-Time Oklahoma State Roster?

He should be on there before Chris Simms, who I wouldn't even rank in the top 5 on Texas all-time QB list. I replaced Simms with James Brown. Another glaring omission from the team is Eric Metcalf, whose all-around all-purpose numbers were amazing. And just for argument sake, here is my top 5 Texas QB list.

1. Major Applewhite
2. Bobby Layne
3. James Brown
4. Peter Gardere
5. James Street

Vince Young will probably be at the top of that list by the time his career is done.

Re: A couple of All-Time Historic Team rosters

I think some of the HBs are messed up for Texas. The numbers and appearances (and ht/wt to an extent) make me think the years are wrong for Williams, Campbell, and Holmes. Try this:

1998 #33 6-0 205 is really Priest Holmes 1994/5 5-10 195
1977 #34 6-0 235 is really Ricky Williams 1998 6-0 225
1994 #20 6-0 225 is really Earl Campbell 1977 6-0 220

This may have happened with Blake Brockermeyer (#78, actually 1994) and Mike Williams (#63, actually 2001) also. I haven't checked others yet, but it would explain the difficulty people are having with parts of the AT-Texas roster.
