Dynasty settings

Hello all! I play NCAA somewhat causally until I burn out, unfortunately this is fairly quickly every year because I run into these problems and if anyone knows how to fix these issues I’d love the help!

I normally do a full custom conference of team builder teams, a dynasty of my gophers, and a rebuild program. But unfortunately the CPU teams sim stats are far off what they actually are, and within two years most teams are 95+ overalls

Any help you can provide would be awesome or any other tips to make it more immersive!

Re: Dynasty settings

What teams are rated that high? I’m in tear 2021 and aside from big powerhouses like Ohio State or Alabama, most stay in the lower 90’s. I’m in the big 12 and the best teams are Texas (97), Oklahoma (96), and TCU (91). It’s kinda fitting considering the talent they actually get. In true Texas form they manage to drop 4-6 losses throughout the year to underperform lol

You could always edit their roster if you feel their ratings are unrealistic

Re: Dynasty settings

Even then I don’t like that 85% of the teams are low to mid 90s. Just kills the realism and fun to me really

Re: Dynasty settings

When I play on Heisman, the teams don’t seem to get boosted like that. Some teams get better, some decline in my leagues. For some reason, Army usually gets ranked pretty early. I think quarter length will affect those stats. I don’t have any great advice, just my experience.

I can’t say I have this issue...sorry. I do agree with the other response though. I play on heisman and don’t see such highly skewed ratings. Teams are all across the board, even in conference. Aside from 3-4 teams in the big 12, most are 80-85 overall and a few in the 70’s. Group of 5 teams are usually 70-80 with a few in the 60’s

I keep using big 12 because hats my current conference lol

Only unrealistic thing I see is the military academies become powerhouse programs. This is common and guys edit them to prevent it, such as giving them playbooks other than triple option and lowering ratings. The triple option seems to lead to their success

That’s a good thing to know! Anything to keep stats more realistic? EX too low of passing numbers for the CPU during sims

And I assume I can find all the slider stuff in that thread?

This I can’t really comment on either. Sim stats for other teams in my dynasty are still pretty normal from what I see. CPU teams pass for 3000-4000 yards in a season or have 1500-2000 yard running backs if they’re run heavy, etc. sorry, I don’t know why but I’m not seeing the same problems
