Backups wanting a lot of money

I'm in a franchise and my backups want a lot of money. I dont have broadband so i can't download the patch. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

Only save the game just prioir to your game on gameday. There are a couple other times you can save depending on what part of the season you are in, but I think your pretty much safe if you only save on gameday regardless. Do a search, I know someone posted the exact times you are safe to save pre-patch.

The issue is with saving at certain times. It messes up the contracts somehow when you load a save that was made at the wrong time.. The issue should fix itself in the following week. I am not sure if it waiting a week fixes any contracts you are already in negotiations with though.

just to clear up that last part, im almost positive that waiting a week does fix contracts you are already in negotiations with

but yeah, just save on gamedays or friday nights and you wont have to worry about it
