Passing Game Fixed

Or, unbroken I should say.

My apologies to all of the developers. My issue with this game was based on being too impatient and diving into the sliders after just a few games.

I kept thinking that when I first played the game, my issue was with the running game, not the passing game, and I couldn't remember having a problem with the passing game. In fact, I remember struggling to find some offensive plays to get the ball to Vernon Davis. I remember being stomped repeatedly.

So I couldn't shake that, even after I hit game six and was sporting a near perfect QB rating, I remembered having trouble, knowing something wasn't right.

I tested all sorts of slider combinations, and tonight, I hit the right ones. Default.

I don't know what it is, but it seems when you adjust something, it basically shuts off the AI. Defenders wont react until the ball is caught, pass rushers simply butt heads with linemen with no real effort to get to the quarterback, QBs never scramble.

When you return to default, the challenge in the passing game is back. I just played a game in which there were a total of 6 interceptions! After only 1 all season to that point.

For the record, I used the right button "auto" default, so I'm not sure if readjusting by clicking back to 50 will "put back" the missing AI.

I'm going to mess around with the sliders a bit more and see what works and what doesn't, because I'd still like to enhance the running game a bit, but this is a huge positive for me. I love this game again.

(Oh, BTW... now that it's officially a "bug" and not tuning, can we get a fix)

How many games have you tested this in? You could just as easily go 21/28 the next game for 300 yards and 0 picks. We need more then 1 game of results.

Ditto on that.

Reporting back with game-by-game results with slider changes is like...deciding whether your team will win the Super Bowl based on one series of downs.

"Aw, shucks, we shoulda made a first down on that one .... season is over!"

I agree you can't tell much from one game. But I also agree default is the way to go, from what I have seen.

Re: Passing Game Fixed

When you say default, does this include the special teams and penalty sliders?

Re: Passing Game Fixed

I've played a lot of games with default sliders and haven't seen a difference, but since I've never played with default penalties I will try your theory..heck im even putting audio on default...if it is a bug with the sliders this MUST be fixed

Re: Passing Game Fixed

so far so good, Beck is playing like Beck...Im hoping this is not a fluke becuz if the sliders are bugged then it should be eligible to be in the patch...this game needs slider adjustments, I have no penalties called so far plus every KO was touch back...not to mention the FG problem
