Major Roster Turnover

Hello fellow HC fans....just wanted to take a few mins to say how awesome this game really is. Well, to get used to the game a bit, i started with the pats...(i know, easy team to win with)...but by 2010, i had everyone...even brady.. either traded, or cut. Im now in Year 2014 and have everyone of my starters with potential of 88 or higher, with exception of my fb, he's at 81. I even have a few backups that i drafted the past couple years with potentials 85 or higher. I guess i just think its pretty cool that i can take a team that was already near unstopable, and completely overhaul it in just a few years.. while never finishing below .500. (had one season right after i traded brady to broncos for 2nd round, 4th round and future 5th round where i finished 8-8.) Not on here to brag or anything, but it sure makes a guy feel good when he can do that. Sorry for the long post....just had to tell other enthusists what a great game (and addicting) this is...with a few minor adjustments, it could be the greatest ever in my opinion. (and ive been playing madden since '99)

Re: Major Roster Turnover

I agree with you man. I'm using the Pats too in the Ozzie Jones draft path. Just got through my first season. I completely overhauled the defense throughout the season. I'm really sad that Bruschi retired though as he was the "brains" of my defense. He may be lacking in the strength department (due to age), but boy was he always around the ball. I'm going to have a hard time replacing him, but I'm hoping to draft Freddie Bates to fill his shoes. Seau also retired, which stinks because although he was a backup, he did nothing but make plays for me throughout the season during his limited playing time.

Yeah, its fun to turn your roster over. Once you get going, you realize its more fun to have all "your guys" on the roster. So I try to replace the main Adams with Gens.

Re: Major Roster Turnover

lol i traded bruschi and maroney right away...picked up ozzie and an awesome LB named Alonzi Sims. Rookie season he had over 125 tackles, 10 sacks, 7 INTs, 4 FF, 6 FR, 3 DT and i put him in at FB once against a team i had a hard time running against with jones, he had 12 carries for 75 yards, 2 TD's, 4 rec for 35 yards and 1 td. Was named ROY, DPY and pro bowl. got him locked in under rookie contract for less than 500K for another 2 years...then i know he'll want the big bucks.
