HELP! My Team Isn't Running The Ball

I just started a Ravens career and made Troy Smith my starter with the college attack playbook. I sim the games and in the box score Smith throws the ball 40 times and my backs get 1-2 attempts a game. I've tried everything and can't figure it out.

I think I figured it out. I practiced some more run plays and I'm seeing about 14 runs a game.

Modify your playbook. Cut out a bunch of pass plays add a few more runs. I've never used that playbook but I'd bet it's pass heavy.

Change your philosophies to reflect a running team.

Beef up your OC's play call skills.

Take a look at the box score. Did you fall behind early (Q1-Q2)? If so, they might think you need to wing it more to catch up.

That too. In Sim, they are going to want to run plays they have Mastered far more often. If they are all passes...

I think the sim engine just does more passing. It seems to be a common problem

my team runs the ball about 20-30 times a game and passes 15-25. I'm not sure what playbook I'm using but I think its some sort of power run offense with my play calling thing set for vertical game.

I've gotten similar results by doing a west coast offense but switching the play calling thing to power run. And to get ur backs to split carries more, I set it to sub my running backs out at moderate fatigue instead of heavy fatigue.

In my cardinals career where im running jon gruden's offense, my starter ended up with 1200 yards and my backup had 12 tds and about 400 yards.

in my raiders career (the one that i dont know my offense cuz i started it awhile ago and just came back to it), i have DMC running about 18-22 times a game, fargas running about 5 or 6, and russell passing 15-25 times a game.

It's not only that I'm not rushing, it's that I'm also only averaging 1.5 YPG. I have a sick OL. Ugh.
