My Opponent had no Kicker!

I just finished a game against Carolina where they had a punter but no kicker. The punter did a mediocre job as kicker. He made 2/3 FG and an extra point. Missed a 28 yard FG but made a 25 and a 38.

I have noticed the CPU teams don't seem to pick up FAs during the season. I played a team a couple of seasons back that was down to one HB. And he was out part of the game as well!

I wonder, if you had a powerful kicker could you get by without a punter?

It's what can happen if you only carry one kicker and one gets injured. The punter takes on both roles and does a horrible job as kicker. Worse yet, like mentioned they don't sign a FA kicker but let the punter continue to kick FG till the kicker gets back from injury. The FA thing might be a bug.
