I'm really excited for MW3. Black ops multiplayer disappointed me and MW2 is still one of my favorite games. I would play MW3 a lot even if it was MW2 upgraded with 2011 graphics. MW3 is due for fall thid year. I hope Infinity Ward somehow gets the zombies license from treyarch, but I'll still buy it if they don't.

MW2 was my favorite shooter ever aside from the Halo series(except Reach). Can't wait.

If this CoD is actually new and something different, I may try it out, but I've learned the hard way the past 3 CoD's just differ in setting, nothing else. This series needs innovation. The leap from CoD 2/3 to CoD 4 was pretty big. Since then they really haven't tried to change much with the game and when they have its always been unpolished and just not that great.

Loved MW1, which is till my favorite to this day as far as online goes.
Loved MW2's campaign mode which is probably top 2 that I've played. (Rainbow Six: Vegas being the other). Did not like online, noob tube heaven
Hate Black Ops! Campaign was the worst I've ever played and online is pretty much like MW2's
Playing WaW now and it seems to be on par w/ MW1 campaign and online wise.

MW2 was good, Black Ops bleh I hated it and returned it very quickly when I noticed I was bored of it in a week.

My friend told me the same company as MW2 isn't making MW3 is this true?

Right, Infinity Ward makes the MW games. The problem is there was a major fight after the release of MW2 and most of the higher ups left IW to form their own company. So IW still exists and is making the game but kind of the same way that if you keep replacing the head and the handle of an axe from time to time it will last forever.

There are three companies working on the rumored (but not confirmed) MW3 right now. Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven. Also apparently Activision has a bigger plan for MW3 and is working on some new component, which reportedly has two more companies working on the game. So right now there could actually be five companies working on MW3.

Well I read something that MW3 will just be the standard FPS follow up to MW2. Sledgehammer was in charge of coming up with a new twist. (possibly an MMO CoD?) but that Activision told them to put that idea on hold and solely focus on MW3, so that they could push the game out in time for this November.

I can't find the link but it was a video on NextGenTactics where one of the commentators talked about the collaboration between IW, Sledgehammer, and Raven in creating the next CoD.

I remember hearing Activision said they wanted to make an Action/Adventure style CoD possibly. I think that may be the other project. Either way, I don't know how excited I am about this game or any other CoD games for a little while.

Infinity ward isn't really working on mw3 at all. Activision is only saying that they are cuz they think that no1 will buy mw3 if infinity ward isn't working on it. infact i dont think infinity ward is still a company.

Umm, what? There's no point in them lying about that. Not to mention that your point about nobody buying the game if IW isn't working on it is completely false.

As long as the Call of Duty name is on the box, it will sell like crack. Black Ops had no issue being the highest selling video game ever with Treyarch's name attached to it.
